The "What" vs. The "Why"

In life, it is important not only to know WHAT you believe, but WHY you believe it in the first place. This concept could not be more crucial for the Christian. The idea that ACTIONS speak louder than words is demonstrated throughtout Scripture. Why else would James (half-brother of Christ) declare for us to be DOERS of the Word and not just hearers?

Here is a thought to keep in mind:

- The WHAT focuses inward, while the WHY focuses outward
- The WHAT is selfish, while the WHY is selfless

A time must come in the Christian walk, where one moves from the WHAT to the WHY. The Apostle Paul points out that young Christians drink milk and the mature eat the meat. What's that mean? It means that the Holy Spirit of God must be allowed to transform and transition you towards a direction of spiritual maturity and intimacy with Him!

In the words of Paul to Timothy: STUDY to show yourself approved unto God!
