Seeing what God Sees

What happens when you find yourself so weighed down by guilt that it becomes difficult to see the big picture?  Sometimes, we may ask God how come He loves us the way that He does and is always ready to forgive and restore.  If we look to our relationship with Jesus as a marriage (as illustrated throughout the New Testament), we may find some insight.

One of the things that is needed for a marriage to truly last is that both bride and groom must be able to find the qualities and features that ATTRACT them to one another despite their actions.  This is also something we demonstrate (or should, at least) to our children as they are being raised.  From a spiritual standpoint, the reason that God is able to love us, even though we still struggle with sin everyday, is because He sees something that is ATTRACTIVE!

What is it you may ask?  It is His breath of life He gave each person.  It is His Holy Spirit that He freely offers to all who accept His Son, Jesus, as Lord and Savior.  It is the fact that, out of ALL creation, He took the time to FORM, MOLD, and SHAPE us in His IMAGE and LIKENESS!  It is important for us to look to the Word of God and pray in the Holy Ghost (in Jesus' name) so that He can change the way we view ourselves in the valleys of sin.

Keep this important nugget of wisdom in your mind and pray that it may flow into the deepest chambers of your heart!
